System Overview
The ZimSolar Explorer ZE series of Off-Grid 12Vdc Solar Power Systems are the best choice if budget is the limiting factor or if you simply want to explore the benefits of solar power by starting up with a DC voltage system whilst still retaining the option to upgrade later to an AC voltage system.
These solar energy systems are designed to generate 12Volt DC electricity for off-grid settings where there is no 230V/50Hz AC mains electricity grid or any other AC voltage power source such as a generator.
The ZimSolar Explorer range is designed to work only with electrical appliances that are rated for use with DC voltage at 12Vdc (or lower at 9Vdc, 6Vdc and 3Vdc). |

 Expandability: The power available from each of the above packages can be upgraded by:
- adding more solar panels (within design limits)
- or adding more solar batteries(of same size and batch)
- or adding an inverter and addional safety components.
Each package comes complete with the installation service from ZimSolar.
ZimSolar also offer a post-installation maintenance service if required.
ZimSolar provide an Electrical Wiring Installation service for homes or buildings in rural or urban locations if required.

Note: DC voltage cannot be used to power electrical appliances that are rated to only operate from AC voltage power source (e.g. 230Vac/50Hz).
If you plan in future to use appliances that require an AC voltage system, you can easily upgrade later when you are ready by adding an Inverter and additional safety components to the system.
