This starter solar power system has been designed to cope with a total daily consumption of 100Wh-140Wh per day.Your battery will last many years if you operate the system without exceeding the above optimum usage guidelines.
The system uses energy efficient 9Watt Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs equivalent in brightness to the commonly used 40Watt incandescent light bulbs. The 11W CFLs are equivalent to the 60W bulbs
The size and number of solar panels and batteries in this system dictates the maximum power available and how long this power will be available.
If this ZE50-DC-12V package is not adequate for your needs, then have a look at the bigger 12V DC packages below. ZimSolar can also customise the ZE50-DC-12V package by adding more solar panels and batteries and other components.

Do you want to buy or to upgrade to an AC Solar Home System? |
Solar PV panels produce Direct Current (DC) electricity. Direct current is the type of electricity that is stored in or produced from a battery. On the other hand, Alternating Current (AC) is the type of electricity supplied by the mains grid (e.g. ZESA, Eskom).
The majority of residential and commercial appliances and equipment use AC current. An inverter is the key component is a solar PV system that is used to convert DC current to AC current
If you wish to provide power to appliances that operate on 230V/50Hz AC voltage, then choose the right package from the ZimSolar Essentials ZES series page or the ZimSolar Autonomy ZA series page or the ZimSolar Navigator ZN series page or upgrade this package by adding a 100W to 300W inverter plus safety components.
